Week1 : Preschool & Level I English

Last Friday and Saturday (21st, 22nd Nov 2008) marked as the beginning of our English lessons. Segregation examination was done the whole week before the first class started. Thus from there, I have managed to pinpoint the exact weakness of each students involved with the study session.

Pre-school Level (Saturday; 9:00-11:00)

The introductory session by five students. Their basics varied significantly, as this differences will help them to improve each others' weaknesses.

Vocab : Animals & Colours
Reading and Understanding Session : Aladdin and the Magic Teapot

Idiom of the Week : An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Meaning : Eating healthy food will make you healthy.

Homeworks :
1)Rewriting animals' name until able to memorize
2)Identify unknown words in 'Aladdin and the magic teapot'
3)Write and memorize the meaning of the idiom of the week

Level I (Friday; 20:00-22:00)

Only one student enroll into this class, as she is the only one that qualified enough to be taught proper grammar.

Grammar: Articles; Definite and Indefinite

Currently, the notes for level I is rather lengthy, so proper work will be done to simplify them to let the students understand better.

Currently, I am still searching for 3 more students to enter level I in order to introduce interaction which will enhance speaking ability among students later. Anyone who wish to enroll is welcome to take the segregation test. Take note that if you scored less or more then the expected range, you will not be able to enter my class since 'pre-school level' is already full and I will not open level 2 and 3 until further notice.

Please be aware that you should be in Sri Serdang area in order to enroll for the class lol :)

Updates pertaining English classes

Great news! English sessions will be officially launched in the middle of November (date has not been fixed yet) I am hoping for positive feedbacks from students out there.

Classes will be done at tutors’ house, thus, parents and outsiders are prohibited from entering the area. Interested? Email us at tutors.centre@gmail.com for brochure or you can directly meet us during office hours, in;

Microbe I Laboratory (Ground Floor, Right Wing),
Biotech 3 Building,
Jalan Sapucaya,
UPM

It is the green three-storey building behind Veterinary Faculty, opposite a horse field, and yes, it is in main campus, only quite isolated. If you can see the library on your left, and the Forestry Faculty on your right, than you are on the right track, just go straight deep inside.

Or

CCU (Culture Collection Unit),
Industrial Laboratory,
1st Floor,
Institute of Bioscience,
University Putra Malaysia.

It’s the four junction road at which going straight will lead you to GSO (School of Graduate Studies main office) and Pertanian, your right will be to MTDC (Malaysian Technology Development Centre), take to your left and just go straight. There is a right turning just before the T-junction where guards are standing (normally outsiders can’t go in or out through the gate)

How does the learning session goes?

There are a few steps that must be taken before proper enrollment can be done;

First step
Read up the brochure, and try to understand – if you have any unclear doubts, feel free to drop a line or come directly to us

Second step
Fill in the registration form properly and sit for the written and spoken tests after first payment of fees. This is a crucial step in order to grade you where you truly belong. Believe us, you will be comfortable with the teaching style if you are placed according to your level. No need to revise, just do your best. If you cannot answer, no sweat! Nobody will eat you. We will teach and guide you until you can answer later :)

Third step
Negotiate with your guardian and choose your level – If you want to revise your basics, feel free to do so, there is no rules grind in stone telling you to do what you do not want to.

Fourth step
Inform us your level of choice beforehand (it means, before coming to actual class). Then you can attend the sessions as you must.

There is no string attached, if you dislike our classes, you can discontinue after all four sessions but you cannot stop halfway. See, as easy cheesy as pie!
